Chemical equipment purging is an important part of chemical production, mainly to eliminate hidden dangers and avoid unnecessary losses, to check the cleanliness of the pipeline system and the construction quality, so that the system can run smoothly. Today Xiaoqi introduces three common cleaning methods for chemical equipment, their cleaning principles and requirements, preparation conditions, operating points, qualification standards and precautions!
Purpose of purging
Before the device is started, it is necessary to purge and clean the pipelines and equipment that have passed the installation inspection. The purpose is to use air (nitrogen), steam, water, and chemical solutions to perform purging and flushing to remove the construction process. Residual impurities ensure the smooth start-up of the device. There are usually several methods such as water washing, air (nitrogen) purging, and oil washing.
Water rinse
Water flushing is a method in which water is used as a medium to flush pipelines and equipment under pressure through a pump. For example: flushing of circulating water system.
Air (nitrogen) purge
Air purging is a method that uses air as the medium and is pressurized to 0.6-0.8Mpa by an air compressor to blow away residual impurities on the process pipeline.
Steam purge
Safety precautions for steam purging Set a purge cordon to prevent personnel from entering the purge port by mistake and causing accidents.
During the purging process, unified deployment and arrangements must be made, and all parties must coordinate the steam purging work according to the actual situation.
